Confusion on his Parents...John b 1792 ( ? Cornwall, Eng. "Jacky Gard/Guard Convict...Theft + burglary 7yrs - Apr 1813. Transported "Indefatigable" Tried Old Bailey, Marylebone, Eng.Records from a book "Guards of The Sea" (f) Aaron (m) Mary... parents names do not fit the following generations given names. Some clues please on finding who he was. Some think born Cornwall, Eng. (f) possibles John,Thomas, Charles, or Edward. (m) possibles Louisa, Ellen Amelia or Susan

His son John Guard 2 was the first white child to be born in the South island of NZ on the 1/10/1831. More info here sammoore.co.nz
