WILLIAM WAS A 14 YEAR OLD FACTORY BOY FROM NOTTINGHAM AND WAS CONVICTED FOR STEALING NECKLACES. HE SPENT ABOUT 7 MONTHS ON THE PRISON HULK EURYALUS AT CHATHAM BEFORE HE WAS TRANSPORTED TO AUSTRALIA. WILLIAM MARRIED ELIZABETH BRIERLEY IN 1845 AND THEY HAD 13 CHILDREN THEY LIVED IN THE COWRA DISTRICT OF NEW SOUTH WALES.WILLIAM HAD A SAD END TO LIFE, THE DAY AFTER ONE OF HIS DAUGHTERS WEDDING HE CHOKED TO DEATH WHILE EATING
