Worcester Easter Sessions, 1831. Alice Parsons, aged 30, described as a married woman, but who, there are grounds for believing, has long led a very questionable course of life, was arraigned for stealing from the person of John Jones, a pocket-book, in which were promissorv notes to to the value of 28/., and a canvass bag, containing gold and silver to the amount £3. The robbery took place on the night of the 12th of March. ... Worcester Herald, 9 April 1831. --------------------------------------------------- On Tuesday the following convicts, sentenced to seven years' transportation, were removed from our City Gaol to Woolwich, where they will embark on board the Pyramus for New South Wales:—Anne Harwood. for stealing bread from the Market House has been convicted of felony; Alice Parsons, for stealing from the person of a drover.—Mary Ann Smith, and Sarah Brown, convicted the last assizes of stealing from the person of John Owen, the parish of Martin were also removed from the county to Woolwich, for fourteen years' transportation. New South Wales, Australia, Convict Indents, 1788-1842 Bound Indentures 1830-1832 From Gloucestershire married protestant who could not read or write. Has 1 child. ToL 36/891 and C38/762. Tried 4/4/1831 4' 11 3/4" fair ruddy and freckled complexion, sandy hair and grey eyes.
