Peter Tassiker was convicted for stealing a quantity of iron. 10yr sentence. Previous sundry times in prison. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the ship 'Eden' 1842. Aged 60yrs upon arrival. Protestant. Brother William & Sister Betsey at native place of Bolton. Native place: Bolton le moor. Had been in the Lancashire Militia. 64th Regiment. Assignments in Colony. Ticket of Leave 13/2/1847 Died at Port Arthur penal settlement 18/04/1857.
