Joshua Taylor was convicted at Suffolk and transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Eden', arriving 1842. 7yr sentence. Joshua Taylor was convicted again, in the Colony of Van Diemen's Land, at Richmond on 17/01/1848 - Larceny, in stealing money. 7yr sentence. 1848 Personal details: Protestant; can read; aged 30yrs; labourer; 5'6"; sallow complexion; dk brown hair; grey eyes (loss of vision in left eye); health good. Native place of birth: Norwich, England. 15 months Probation period. To Port Arthur penal settlement 08/03/1848. Other assignments: Old Beach; New Town Farm; Swan Port; Tunbridge; Campbell Town; Westbury. Ticket of Leave 10/11/1851
